Laboratory Engineer, Toy Testing

Responsibilities
  • Execute testing based on defined test plans, standards, and datasheets with appropriate supervision and guidance
  • Evaluate test performance and sample behavior to ensure accurate interpretation of results
  • Record, analyze, and clearly document test results; prepare comprehensive and accurate test reports
  • Act as Project Lead for simple test programs, managing timelines, deliverables, and communication with support from senior team members
  • Develop and own test plans, ensuring timely completion, report accuracy, and effective coordination of project activities
  • Communicate project status, progress, and results to internal stakeholders and clients as required
  • Examine customer samples and determine appropriate testing methods with guidance, building technical expertise over time
  • Engage with clients during project setup and execution to ensure proper understanding and evaluation of requirements
  • Apply knowledge of relevant testing standards and product technologies within assigned scope
  • Build, set up, and adapt test fixtures or equipment based on test requirements and engineering instructions
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot complex testing equipment to ensure reliability and accuracy
  • Perform advanced maintenance and, where required, calibration of laboratory equipment
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including enhancements in processes, equipment, and testing efficiency
  • Collaborate with technical teams and management to recommend improvements in tools, methodologies, and workflows
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, including code of conduct and laboratory safety/security practices
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field with minimum 3 - 4 years of relevant Toy Testing experience
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining high quality and meeting deadlines
  • Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with engineering teams and laboratory personnel
  • Demonstrated analytical capability to assess unique or complex testing requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Innovative mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
  • Ability to thrive in a team-oriented, fast-paced laboratory environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Interest and ability to incorporate automation and technology into testing processes
