An experienced Laboratory Manager to lead and oversee laboratory operations within a fast-paced precious metals refining and analytical environment.
This role is responsible for directing laboratory supervisors, ensuring operational efficiency, maintaining strict QA/QC standards, supporting R&D initiatives, and driving continuous improvement across laboratory processes.
Full-time | Permanent Salary $120k+
Travel Requirement: Up to 25% within the U.S. Must be a Canadian Citizen with a valid Passport
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and mentor laboratory supervisors and technical teams
• Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards
• Oversee QA/QC, method development, and assay accuracy
• Manage laboratory budgets, equipment planning, and inventory controls
• Develop and maintain SOPs, training programs, and laboratory procedures
• Support staff development, succession planning, and performance management
• Maintain and improve laboratory software systems and data management
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional departments and leadership teams
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Physical Sciences, or related field
• Strong background in inorganic and analytical chemistry
• Experience in metallurgical laboratories and quantitative analysis preferred
• Knowledge of laboratory instrumentation, analytical methods, and LIMS systems
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
