The Preclinical Safety (PCS) department at Sanofi is a global unit providing expertise in predictive, investigative, and general toxicology for all research and development projects. One of its core missions is to select drug candidates based on their toxicological profile defined in various animal species before first-in-human administration.

As Laboratory Manager for Molecular and Digital Pathology within our Preclinical Safety Department, you'll supervise and develop cutting-edge molecular and digital pathology activities to support critical toxicology and discovery studies across multiple species. Ready to get started?

Main responsibilities:

• Supervise and/or perform the immunohistochemistry and in situ hybridization investigations, including task planning, slide preparation, development and documentation of new methods, management of associated operating procedures, and regular update of the portfolio of validated markers
• Supervise and/or perform the digital pathology activities including task planning, scanning of histological slides, uploading virtual slides to appropriate digital pathology software, image analyses, and management of associated operating procedures
• Develop innovative techniques, new services, and partnerships in those two areas of activity in order to improve the performance and ensure department growth, in close and cross-functional collaboration with the veterinary pathologist team and the histotechnique laboratory
• Ensure technological and scientific monitoring in molecular & digital pathology and regularly communicate advancements and innovations to the Preclinical Safety department
• Participate in the department's scientific communication (oral and written) in areas of expertise by preparing necessary materials and delivering presentations, posters, or scientific articles

About you

• Experience: At least 3 years in molecular pathology, digital pathology, or related fields in industry or academia
• Technical skills: Expertise in immunohistochemistry, in situ hybridization and other molecular pathology techniques, digital pathology systems, image analysis, and method development/validation
• Soft skills: Strong organizational abilities, scientific rigor, team collaboration, and excellent written/verbal communication
• Education: Master's degree (M2) and/or PhD in relevant scientific field
• Languages: Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking) essential for international communication

The salary range for this position is :€48,000.00 - €64,000

Final compensation will be determined based on demonstrated experience, skills, location, and other relevant factors. Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs.
