Your mission

Laboratory Technician
(BTA, MTA, CTA, Chemical Technician, B.Sc.) (m/f/d) – Part-time (up to 32 hours/week)

We are seeking a dedicated, qualified laboratory technician - including entry-level candidates - to support our team in the field of biotechnological process development and analytics.
The role focuses on performing sample preparation and analysis steps to support our biotechnological manufacturing processes (USP/DSP) for therapeutic products. Key tasks include nucleic acid purification and analysis, protein analysis, and methods such as qPCR and ELISA. Additionally, the position involves contributing to the development and optimization of bioanalytical methods, as well as providing hands-on support for USP and DSP operations in our pilot plant.
The role requires a high degree of independence in planning, conducting, evaluating, and documenting experiments. This is a part-time position (up to 32 hours/week), initially limited to one year, with the prospect of extension or a permanent contract.

Your profile

  • Completed vocational training as a chemical laboratory technician, chemical plant operator, biological laboratory technician, BTA, MTA, CTA, or a comparable qualification
  • OR: Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or a related field
  • Solid practical experience in meticulous and precise laboratory work (proficient and accurate pipetting) and a strong commitment to quality when conducting and documenting experiments
  • Ideally, practical experience with molecular biological and bioanalytical methods such as nucleic acid purification, qPCR, ELISA, or comparable techniques
  • Structured, meticulous, reliable, and independent working style
  • Strong hands-on mentality, ability to work in a team, high degree of flexibility, and willingness to undergo further training and familiarize yourself with new technologies
  • Fluent written and spoken English; German language skills would be an asset
  • Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel and Word), ideally also with ELN (Electronic Lab Notebook) systems
  • Valid work permit for Germany

About us

CAR T therapy has saved roughly 50,000 lives but today's bespoke cell manufacturing does not scale. Addressing scalability and accessibility while preserving CAR T’s transformative biology could improve millions of lives.

CPTx addresses this need by programming CAR T cells directly inside the patient, delivering engineered DNA vectors to T cells via lipid nanoparticles. Unlike mRNA, DNA offers durable expression, critical for treating cancer. Unlike viral vectors, CPTx's DNA system supports redosable and tunable, multi-gene payloads. CPTx has developed purpose-built technology across every layer of the platform: proprietary immune-quiet DNA vectors, custom LNP formulations, and targeting strategies that direct the payload to T cells.
