Laboratory Analyst
Job Description
The Laboratory Analyst performs assigned analysis and reports results according to procedures and regulations of the department. This role is critical in maintaining quality control and equipment as per established instructions and schedules. The Analyst correlates laboratory results with clinical findings through chart review and consultation with nursing and medical staff. Additionally, the position entails performing receptionist and phlebotomist tasks while ensuring compliance with all applicable State and Federal laws, regulations, and policies governing the provision of health care.
Responsibilities
- Perform assigned analyses and report results in accordance with departmental procedures and regulations.
- Maintain quality control of laboratory processes and results.
- Ensure equipment is properly maintained according to instructions and schedules.
- Correlate laboratory results with clinical findings via chart review and discussions with nursing and medical staff.
- Complete receptionist and phlebotomist tasks as required.
- Adhere to compliance standards set by state and federal health care regulations.
Schedule
This position may require a first or second shift schedule, providing flexibility to meet departmental needs.
Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
