Laboratory Technologist - 4x10 Hour Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

4x10 hour shifts, from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, scheduled 4 days a week between Monday and Friday. Flexibility is required, including availability to work at least one holiday.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Laboratory Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a clinical laboratory setting, particularly with Meditech charting software. This position requires proficiency in a variety of laboratory procedures and strong patient interaction skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory tests and analyze results for patient diagnosis and treatment.
• Ensure the accuracy of test results and perform quality assurance protocols.
• Manage specimen collection, processing, and analysis.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper safety protocols are followed.
• Document and report test results in the Meditech system.
• Collaboration with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 5 years of laboratory experience required; 8 years preferred.
• ASCP certification preferred.
• Experience with Meditech Expanse charting software is required.
• Prior charge experience in a laboratory setting is preferred.
• Travel experience is required.
• Candidates must have a willingness to obtain any necessary certifications prior to starting.
