Key Responsibilities
. Conduct microbiological testing of raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, water, and environmental samples.
. Perform microbial analysis, identification, and interpretation of laboratory results.
. Monitor hygiene standards and support contamination control initiatives.
Support food safety programmes, including HACCP, GMP, and quality management systems.
. Maintain accurate laboratory records, reports, and documentation.
. Conduct investigations into microbiological deviations and recommend corrective actions.
. Ensure laboratory equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
. Support internal and external quality audits.
. Collaborate with Quality Assurance and Production teams to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biological Sciences, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in microbiology testing, preferably within the food, FMCG, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing industry.
Knowledge of microbiological testing methods and laboratory practices.
Good understanding of HACCP, GMP, and food safety standards.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
