Job Summary

In this position the Research Laboratory Manager will perform a wide variety of research and research administration activities in direct support of the laboratories research programs, the goals of which are to understand how the immune system regulates protective and pathogenic antibody responses in the context of vaccination, infection, autoimmunity, allergies and kidney transplantation. Candidate is responsible for managing laboratory personnel and overall functioning of the research operation including organizing and maintaining equipment, animal colonies and supply inventories. Candidate will also help coordinate and ensure regulatory and compliance of the laboratory to institutional guidelines. In addition, the candidate will train laboratory personnel and perform basic research. 2-4 years of experience in academic or laboratory research is required. Candidate must have excellent organizational skills, budget and management skills, and excellent judgement and ability to interpret information.

-Oversees use of laboratory funds, supply inventory and staff activities.
-Coordinates all regulatory and compliance activities.
-Contributes to scientific literature and may present the data at meetings.
-Trains staff in specialized lab techniques.
-Serve as the Lab safety officer.


 

Qualifications

Education
Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required
