Senior Medical Technologist

HK$96,142 to HK$114,905 (HGPS Pt 34 to Pt 39) per month including Monthly Allowance

Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance.|

Key Responsibilities:

1.   Take charge of the Anatomical Pathology Laboratory, and mortuaries of PYNEH and RTSKH.

2.   Carry out laboratory managerial duties including human resources management, budgetary forecast and control and procurement.

3.    Plan and monitor new services.

4.    Evaluate new methodologies and instruments.

5.    Control, maintain and improve the quality and safety standards of laboratory services.

6.    Train medical laboratory technical staff.

7.    Co-ordinate clinical training for students from academic institutions.

Entry Requirements:

   1.    MSc in Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent.

2.    Be a registered Part I (full registration) Medical Laboratory Technologist and have a valid Practicing Certificate under the Allied Health Professions Ordinance.

3.    At least 7 years’ experience in Medical Technologist rank.
