**Requirements:**
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current state license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), or Clinical Fellow Year (CFY) status with supervision.
- Prior experience in a skilled nursing facility or geriatric setting preferred.
- Strong clinical skills in evaluation and treatment of dysphagia, cognitive-linguistic deficits, and communication disorders.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
**Roles & Responsibilities:**
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of residents with speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and physician orders.
- Provide direct therapy services targeting communication skills, cognitive-linguistic functioning, and safe swallowing.
- Perform and interpret swallow assessments and make diet modification recommendations.
- Document all evaluations, treatments, progress notes, and discharge summaries in accordance with guidelines.
- Educate residents, families, and staff on therapy plans and communication strategies.
- Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary team meetings, contributing to resident-centered goals.
- Monitor and adjust treatment plans based on resident progress and functional outcomes.
- Supervise Clinical Fellows (CFYs) and/or Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) in accordance with state and ASHA guidelines (if applicable).
