About the role
As a Speech Pathologist, you will provide high-quality assessment and intervention across the lifespan, with a strong focus on paediatric services, communication difficulties and dysphagia. You’ll work within a multidisciplinary primary health care team and contribute to holistic, community-led care.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver speech pathology assessment, diagnosis and therapy
- Provide paediatric services in clinics, schools and community settings
- Conduct dysphagia screening and generalist rehabilitation
- Support early intervention and chronic condition management
- Participate in outreach services, including remote travel
- Collaborate with GPs, Aboriginal Health Workers and allied health staff
- Deliver client, family and community education
- Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to service improvement

About you
- Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology
- Eligible for membership with Speech Pathology Australia
- Strong commitment to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to travel, including remote outreach
