Job Duties
The Laboratory Manager is responsible for supporting high-quality undergraduate and graduate education by overseeing engineering and computer science laboratories, maintaining equipment and software resources, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and providing technical support to faculty, staff, and students. The position plays a key role in supporting instructional, research, and senior design activities within the Department of Engineering and Computer Science.

Minimum Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of engineering laboratory operations, equipment maintenance, inventory control, and safety compliance.
- Experience supporting and troubleshooting laboratory equipment, machinery, and software.
- Proven organizational, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Experience providing technical training and user support.
Additional Considerations
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience managing technical or academic laboratories and supporting engineering or technology programs.
- Experience maintaining laboratory equipment, software, inventory, and procurement processes, including eVA.
- Experience supervising personnel, providing technical training, and supporting faculty and student projects.
- Knowledge of laboratory quality assurance, equipment calibration, and safety practices.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across departments and support continuous improvement initiatives.
