Minimum Requirements
▪ Grade 12 / NQF Level 4 with Mathematics and Science
▪ Degree or National Diploma in a related field (Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or relevant analytical discipline)
▪ 3 + years’ experience managing people in a laboratory environment (supervision, training, task planning, and performance management)
▪ 5 + years’ laboratory experience in petrochemical, chemical, or bituminous binder environments, including responsibility for day-to-day laboratory operations
▪ Strong computer literacy: MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
▪ Valid driver’s license with willingness to travel as required
Preferred / Advantageous
Proven experience with:
▪ Bitumen, cutback binders, emulsions, bitumen rubber, and polymer‑modified binders
▪ Experience in Performance Grading (PG) testing and performance‑based binder evaluation
▪ Basic understanding of road binder applications and binder performance within pavement systems
