Day shift, 5x8 hours (09:00 - 17:30). No weekends required.

Job Description

The Pathologists Assistant will work within the pathology lab, handling various high complexity specimens and performing procedures such as frozen sections. The role requires interaction with advanced pathology equipment and technology.

Responsibilities

• Perform macroscopic description of gross anatomic features.
• Prepare tissues for histological processing and section surgical pathology specimens.
• Accession specimens, ensuring accurate receipt and labeling.
• Handle 30-50 specimens per day, utilizing equipment such as a cassette labeler and cryostat.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must be a graduate of an accredited Pathologists Assistant program.
• 2+ years of relevant experience required.
• ASCP certification preferred.
• Active NJ or Compact license required at time of submission.
