Day shift, 5x8-hour schedule from 09:00 AM to 05:30 PM

Job Description

The Pathology Assistant will be responsible for the gross examination and evaluation of complex surgical specimens. This role includes handling a daily case load of 30-50 specimens, performing surgical pathology frozen sections, and assessing high-complexity specimens.

Responsibilities

• Perform gross examinations and evaluations of surgical specimens
• Assist in surgical pathology procedures and frozen sections
• Utilize equipment such as cassette labelers and tissue processors
• Adhere to protocols for specimen handling and documentation

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
• Graduate of an accredited Pathologists Assistant Program
• ASCP certification preferred
• Active NJ or Compact license required at the time of submission
