Job Description

The Clinical Laboratory Scientist is responsible for analyzing specimens according to section procedures and policies, ensuring the appropriateness of the sample. The role involves accurately applying test procedures, confirming unusual results, and reviewing and reporting all results in accordance with laboratory policy to enable clinicians to perform accurate patient assessments.

Responsibilities

• Analyze laboratory specimens per established protocols.
• Ensure the appropriateness of samples and accurate application of test procedures.
• Confirm unusual results and review all results based on laboratory policy.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals for patient assessment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent required.
• CLS (NCA), MT (ASCP) or equivalent certification as a medical technologist or Clinical Laboratory Scientist is required.
• Must meet CLIA 88 requirements for performing high complexity testing.
• Prefer one year of general laboratory experience.
• Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Laboratory equipment operation skills are required.
