Clinical Laboratory Scientist

Full-time position, Tuesday to Saturday, from 08:30 AM to 05:00 PM.

Job Description

The Clinical Laboratory Scientist will analyze specimens in accordance with established procedures and policies. The position involves ensuring the appropriateness of samples, accurately applying test procedures, confirming unusual results, and reviewing and reporting all results in compliance with laboratory policy to facilitate accurate patient assessments.

Responsibilities

• Analyze specimens following department procedures and policies.
• Ensure appropriateness of samples and apply test procedures accurately.
• Confirm unusual results and review all findings in accordance with laboratory policy.
• Enable clinicians to perform accurate patient assessments through precise reporting.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent is required.
• Must possess CLS (NCA), MT (ASCP), or equivalent certification as a medical technologist or Clinical Laboratory Scientist.
• Must meet CLIA 88 requirements for performing high complexity testing.
• Prefer one year of general laboratory experience.
• Ability to read and write in English and communicate effectively.
• Laboratory equipment operation skills are required.
