Job Title: Speech Pathologist

Location: Darien, CT


Position Overview:

As a Speech Pathologist, you will play a vital role in helping individuals of all ages overcome communication and speech challenges. Your expertise will be crucial in diagnosing and treating speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders, making a significant impact on the lives of those you serve. You will work in a collaborative healthcare environment to enhance communication and improve the quality of life for your clients.


Speech Pathologist Requirements:

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • State licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is mandatory.
  • Clinical experience in speech pathology, including internships and practical training, is typically required.
  • Specialized experience in a particular area, such as pediatric speech therapy, may be preferred for specific roles.

Speech Pathologist Compensation:

  • Percentage of net collections; equivalent of $100,000 FTE

Speech Pathologist Job Type:

  • Part-Time (which could grow into full-time role)
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday afternoon availability 
  • W2 employee

Speech Pathologist Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' speech, language, voice,  and swallowing abilities, identifying communication, and swallowing  disorders.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results, setting specific goals and objectives for each client's needs.
  • Provide evidence-based speech therapy, including articulation therapy, language intervention, fluency therapy, and voice therapy, as required by the client's diagnosis.
  • Educate clients and their families on speech and language disorders, therapy techniques, and home exercises to support progress.
  • Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, occupational therapists, and educators, to ensure comprehensive client care.

The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for this position. A successful candidate’s actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate’s work history, experience, skill set, and education.
