Mid 5x8-Hour Shift (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM), every third weekend (Friday/Saturday) required.

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Blood Bank Technologist with recent dedicated blood bank experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing blood banking procedures, managing transfusion services, and demonstrating strong clinical knowledge and skills within the blood bank setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood bank and transfusion-related testing and procedures.
• Handle complex antibody identification and emergency release of blood products.
• Conduct cord blood evaluations and transfusion reaction workups.
• Maintain accurate records and adhere to blood banking standards and protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to support patient care in blood transfusions.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or a related field with 1 year of clinical rotations.
• Minimum of 4 years of Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) experience required.
• Active New Jersey or Compact license is required at the time of submission.
• ASCP certification preferred.
• Experience with BMT and Level 1 Trauma patients highly preferred.
