Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) - Day Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shift: 5x8 hours, Days (07:30 AM - 04:00 PM), with possible rotating day/evening shifts as needed.

Job Description

The Medical Laboratory Scientist will perform various laboratory tests and analyses, ensuring accurate results and prompt reporting. The individual will work independently and collaboratively within the laboratory setting, adapting to various methodologies and equipment as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory tests accurately and efficiently.
• Perform independent work with proficiency on laboratory instruments.
• Ensure compliance with laboratory protocols and quality assurance standards.
• Assist in the training of new staff as needed.
• Remain flexible to adapt to changes in workload and responsibilities.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Laboratory Scientist preferred.
• Current ASCP certification required; ASCP-MLS and BLS preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system is preferred.
• Must be flexible regarding floating within the department.
• Mandatory flu vaccine with no exemptions.
