Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is hiring a Cytotechnologist for a per diem role in Boston, Massachusetts within a pathology department.

POSITION OVERVIEW
• Performs cytology testing and specimen evaluation
• Works within pathology and histology department
• Supports diagnostic accuracy through microscopic analysis

COMPENSATION
• Salary Range: $40–$50/hr

SCHEDULE
• Per diem

ROLE
• Perform microscopic evaluation of cytology specimens including Gyn, Nongyn, and FNA samples
• Verify specimen identification and suitability for testing
• Ensure proper accessioning, testing, and data entry
• Interpret clinical data in relation to cytologic findings
• Participate in quality control and improvement initiatives
• Support CAP, CLIA, and JCAHO compliance standards
• Participate in proficiency testing and continuing education programs
• Maintain adherence to infection control and safety procedures

• Hospital-based pathology department
• Laboratory setting supporting diagnostic services

• Science-based bachelor’s or associate degree REQUIRED
• Completion of accredited Cytotechnology training program REQUIRED
• CT (ASCP) certification or equivalent REQUIRED within 1 year of hire
• Knowledge of cytotechnology principles and methodology REQUIRED
• Experience preferred but not required
